Philosophy
The human body is a reflection of nature, as it is constantly adapting to the changing seasons. At Columbus Acupuncture LLC, we see wellness as more than an absence of disease and their symptoms. Wellness is a balance of the body, mind, and spirit, as well as harmony with the environment.
The principals of acupuncture were built on the observation of nature and its goal is to achieve balance rather than fight against these cycles of change. Our office takes into consideration this ever constant cycle of change and transformation to provide a truly holistic treatment.

As early as kindergarten, I remember wanting to be a ninja. My fascination with martial arts would only grow deeper as I learned about the various styles. Tai Chi stood out because it did not use muscular force, which was a big selling point for a scrawny youngster. I was captivated by stories of Professor Cheng who was an amazing fighter, but also exemplified the amazing healing potential of the human body.
Professor Cheng Man-Chen was a skilled Tai Chi master, who was able to effortlessly knock an attacker 20 or 30 feet away. However, as a youth he was very sickly. Eventually contracting a nasty lung infection believed to be tuberculosis, his prognosis continued to decline. As a last ditch effort, he began studying Tai Chi. As the young professor cultivated and strengthened his internal energy (also known as Chi), not only was he able to recover from his illness, but his overall health improved drastically. I was fascinated with this mysterious “internal energy”, and how it could be used for both fighting and healing. I had to learn more.
Thirsting for a deeper knowledge of the body’s healing ability. I abruptly quit my well paying sales job, and moved halfway across the country to study acupuncture. Tai Chi had ignited my passion for understanding how the body works, and my love of acupuncture has helped me share my passion. Since then I have helped patients go from avoiding the activates they enjoy, to returning to the life they love.
